I CAN REPAIR MOST ALL MODELS OF KONICA SLR's, RANGEFINDERS, AND KONI-RAPID-OMEGAS. HOWEVER, IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT THE FS-1 AND TC-X ARE TWO SLR MODELS THAT ARE NOT ALWAYS REPAIRABLE DUE TO THE FACT THAT AQUIRING REPAIR PARTS FOR THEM IS OFTEN A PROBLEM. BACK TO TOP •PROCEDURE: WHEN SHIPPING YOUR EQUIPMENT TO ME FOR REPAIR, PLEASE INCLUDE A NOTE WITH YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION AND A BRIEF EXPLAINATION OF THE PROBLEM POSED BY THE ITEM YOUR SENDING. AFTER I RECEIVE THE EQUIPMENT, IT IS PLACED IN LINE FOR IT'S TURN AT APPRAISAL. DEPENDING UPON HOW MANY JOBS ARE AHEAD OF IT IN LINE, THE APPRAISAL PROCESS CAN TAKE ANYWHERE FROM A COUPLE OF DAYS TO A COUPLE OF WEEKS. WHEN IT'S TURN ARRIVES, AND THE INSPECTION IS COMPLETED, I WILL CALL, EMAIL, OR SEND A POST CARD NOTIFYING YOU OF THE SPECIFIC PROBLEM DIAGNOSIS, AND THE ESTIMATED REPAIR COSTS. I PREFER TO CALL IF POSSIBLE, SO AGAIN, PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION WHEN SHIPPING YOUR ITEM. AFTER I HAVE CONTACTED YOU, AND YOU TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT TO DO (OPTIONS INCLUDE: REPAIR IT, JUNK IT, AND SEND IT BACK "AS IS" - RETURN SHIPPING AT CUSTOMERS EXPENSE), AND ASSUMING YOU CHOOSE TO REPAIR IT, I WILL REQUIRE PAYMENT BEFORE ACTUALLY STARTING THE REPAIR PROCESS. TO MOST CUSTOMERS I APOLOGIZE FOR THIS "PAYMENT IN ADVANCE" POLICY, AS UNFORTUNATELY, IT HAS BECOME A REQUIREMENT DUE TO PREVIOUS CUSTOMERS WHO WOULD AUTHORIZE REPAIRS, AND THEN NEVER PAY FOR THEM. IN INSTANCES INVOLVING NON-PAYMENT (OVER A MINIMUM 6 MONTH PERIOD) I AM FORCED TO SELL THE EQUIPMENT IN QUESTION IN ORDER TO RECOVER MY TIME AND PARTS EXPENSES. I REALLY PREFER NOT TO HAVE TO DO THIS. SO I REQUEST PAYMENT AT THE TIME OF APPRAISAL. I THANK MY CUSTOMERS FOR THEIR APPRECIATION OF THIS CIRCUMSTANCE. ON RARE OCCASIONS - SUCH AS WHEN THE CUSTOMERS FINANCIAL SITUATION BECOMES STRAINED DUE TO UNFORSEEN CIRCUMSTANCES (SUCH AS ILLNESS OR DEATH IN THE FAMILY), I WILL MAKE SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS FOR THEM TO PAY FOR THEIR REPAIRS OVER TIME. HOWEVER, SUCH ARRANGEMENTS MUST BE MADE IMMEDIATELY WITH ME, AND THE EQUIPMENT IS NOT FIXED AND/OR RETURNED UNTIL FINAL PAYMENT IS MADE. THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN VERY OFTEN, BUT I WOULD RATHER WORK SOMETHING OUT WITH THE CUSTOMER THAN TO HAVE THEM LOSE THEIR EQUIPMENT - ESPECIALLY WHEN FAMILY HEIRLOOMS ARE INVOLVED. WHEN REPAIRS ARE AUTHORIZED, AND I RECIEVE A CUSTOMERS CAMERA, BUT THEN NEVER RECEIVE PAYMENT OR FURTHER CONTACT, I CONSIDER THE EQUIPMENT "ABANDONED" - PLEASE REFER TO "ABANDONED ITEMS" SECTION OF THIS PAGE FOR FURTHER DETAILS.
